This is Guernica by Pablo Picasso.
The painting is all in black and white. You can see a lot of different people, animals, and things mixed up in this painting. But none of them are complete, you can only see parts of them. All the people and animals looks like they are either crying or screaming. They look like they are in a lot of pain.
This painting was done during the war. And it was the artist's way of expressing his feeling agains the violence in the war. I think the artist was trying to show the pain and suffering of everyone willingly and unwillingly involved in this war.

dear friend
you felt Guernica the way I did. It's a masterpiece they say.
One day, Picasso was in Paris, during the world war II. Nazi soldiers came to him for he was such a famous painter. They saw the picture Guernica. The soldier said "so, You arethe one who did make this ? " And Picasso answered: "No; YOU made it".
He was deeply engaged against nazis. He painted Guernica in 1937 doon after the bombing of the spanish town, for the Paris Universal exhibition. He was a peace activist. But he new who the enemy was.
Have a great day :o)
